Lead acid battery is widely used in many systems requiring energy storage units. With increased demand for high-performance batteries in different applications, gel batteries find a wide range of applications in areas where standard aqueous batteries do not deliver the desired performance. The gel batteries work with the conversion principle (O2 recombination) and the elements in the gas phase are then concentrated on the chemical reaction. Therefore, gel batteries only have a special valve system opened at high pressure for safety reasons and this system prevents gases from moving away from the battery to minimize water loss. Gel batteries are non-maintenance type batteries, so gel batteries are pure water in no way, and so on.b. were added. To force the battery valves to open, the gas in the battery moves away from it, causing the battery life to decrease. Gas discharge occurs only when the high pressure reaches and normally the battery in reaction of the gas entering the battery due to the gas discharge is the minimum level. For this reason, to eliminate the gases that occur in the areas where gel batteries are used, a smaller ventilation window is sufficient than the areas where aqueous batteries are used. One of the advantages of gel batteries is that it does not contain liquid electrolytes. Therefore, there is no possibility of damaging the environment where electrolyte flows and accumulates. In gel batteries, sulfuric acid is mixed with silica at a certain rate and gel consistency is obtained, the ion transfer in the battery occurs in the electrolyte environment. One of the important factors in choosing gel batteries is the current capacity of gel batteries. This value is 80% in gel batteries and the current capacity in aqueous batteries is 50% maximum. This means that when 50 Ah is used in a 100 Ah aqueous battery, 80 ah slice 100 Ah gel battery can be easily used.
